It was decided at our last meeting that all previous organisations who had received donations from the Carnival in the past should re-apply. We would like to hear why you feel your organization should receive a donation and tell us a bit about what your organization does in the local area. New applications are also welcome and should be locally based. Also, if you take part in the Carnival either as a marshal or help in any other way.
We would expect a representative to attend to collect your donation. Our decision will be made at our next meeting on February 20th so would need to reply by then. If your organization is lucky enough to be selected you will receive written confirmation within two weeks of our meeting. Applications should be addressed to Jayne White, Hastings Old Town Carnival Association Secretary, C/o 32A Tackleway, Hastings TN34 3DA. or e-mail to

It is with great regret that we have to announce the sad passing, on the 27th November, of our former Chairman for the last two years, John Muggridge.

Our meetings will never be the same again John, we miss you.

John Muggridge
