Some of the lucky recipients with Hastings' Deputy Mayor, cllr Alan Roberts, Chairman of Hastings Old Town Carnival Committee and Hastings Old Town Carnival Queen, Miss Hastings April Grant.

After paying all the expenses of running the carnival in 2011 £4,000 of the money collected was distributed amongst local good causes – including the RNLI who also won the trophy shield for the largest amount collected, Other lucky recipients included Coastguards, St John Ambulance, Red Cross Fire & Rescue, H &StL Life Guards, Royal British Legion, Hastings Coastal Twirlers, Dragonflies Take Flight, 2nd Hastings Brownies, 2nd Hastings Rainbows, Senlac 1066 Highsteppers, Sara Lee Trust, Huntingdon’s Association, Hastings Trolleybus Restoration Group, Hastings West Hill Boxing Club, Salvation Army triple 20 Club, Ore Kidzone (SA), Association of Carers, Surviving Christmas, Penny Beale Memorial Fund, Two Towers Trust, Autism Sussex, St Michael’s Hospice, Hastings & Rother Association for the Blind, Hospital Radio Hastings, Hastings Gateway Club, Seaview Project, Parchment Trust, Crest Playgroup, Rock-a-Nore Football Club, Hastings Branch RSPCA, Hastings Sanctuary Service, Hotshots, Lindy Hoppers, Fellowship of St Nicholas, Hornet, Youth University – Helenswood, Torfield School, Gizmo Theatre Group, Hastings Shopmobility, FOCUS on Mental Health, Mencap, Samaritans.
