Federation of Independent Carnivals (FICA) first function in 2013

	The esteemed Federation of Independent Carnivals (FICA) held their first 2013 function on Saturday, 18th.May, at the Masonic Hall, St.Leonards. The hire of the hall was kindly waived in support of Carnival, and the Committee which needs all the support it can get, appreciate very much both this very kind gesture, and the magnificent welcome and friendly help they gave us. HASTINGS OLD TOWN CARNIVAL ASSOCIATION (H.O.T.C.A) hosted eight visiting Courts from Kent and Sussex, and a most successful evening closed with our Hastings Queen, Bethany Hill and her two Princesses Leyla Dobinson and Cheyenne Mischewski with Chaperones and friends scooping FIRST PRIZE and the Trophy for the Best Decorated Table.Hastings also won THIRD Prize for the Group Fancy Dress Competition. First Prize was won by Deal. The visiting courts were:- Aylesham, Court of Kent, Deal, Dover, Faversham, Lydd and Teynham
