‘For Crying Out Loud’: The Story of a Town Crier
Illustrated talk by Jon Bartholomew, Hastings Town Crier.

Admission charge £5, children aged 14 and under free if accompanied by adults
Proceeds from this event are being donated by the Hastings & St Leonards Society to provide prize money for the National Town Criers competition in Hastings Week. (The National Town Criers competition has been held at various locations in Hastings and St. Leonards for over sixty years, and once attracted huge crowds and a great many entrants from around the country. In recent years, the Local Council has been unable to provide prize money, and the prestige and glamour of the event has suffered.
Come and hear the story of our very own Town Crier, Jon Bartholomew, and help to rejuvenate one of the Town’s great heritage events.)
