The Mayor, Councillor Jackie Dowling attended the AGM to award the
Bowskill Trophy to an individual, Association, Group or Force for their Special
Promotion of Hastings Week 2001
The Bowskill Trophy and a Certificate of Merit was presented to:
1066 JAZZ CLUB
For "The development of a Jazz Festival during Hastings Week"
Stan Lodder reflected in the award he
collected for the 1066 Jazz Club
Runner up Certificates were presented to:
1066 PIPE BAND
For "Coming to our rescue in 2000 at very short notice and, this
year, providing excellent performances at several events"
and
CHRIS SHERWOOD
For "The development of an interesting programme which, with the
inclusion of advertising, is FREE to the public"
